PARENTS and care givers are invited to the St Martins De Porres School Open Day on 29 July.

St Martins spokesperson Balo Madikane said open day will give an opportunity for care givers and parents to learn about the school and what it has to offer.

“St Martins is a school that caters for hard of hearing, and deaf pupils as well as intellectually impaired pupils and on open day we give parents and families a clear guideline on what we offer, what the expectations will be for their children and what the requirements are for them to be admitted to the school.”

The school therapy team will also be announcing appointment dates for assessment of possible candidates for 2017. The open day is only for parents and care givers, not children.

“We would like to request that parents make arrangements for their children, the day is for care givers and parents only. We have requirements on the day - parents must bring their child’s ID or birth certificate and proof of residency,” said Madikane.

A non-refundable administration fee of R50 is required when collecting application forms after assessment bookings.
