Three caught with drugs

A 37-YEAR-OLD woman and two men, aged 39 and 48, were arrested on Friday at 3pm in the Port Shepstone taxi rank

The arresting officers - Lieutenant Shireen Michael, Warrant Officer Rams Ramphul and Constable Roxy Mrawushe from Port Shepstone Crime Prevention Unit - found them in possession of drugs.

The woman was found in possession of 13 straws of heroin and three grams of a white powdery substance, believed to be crystal meth.

The 39-year-old man was found in possession of 1 068 kg of dagga.

The third man was caught with 499 straws of heroin and 130 mandrax tablets. Cash was also confiscated.

The three were charged for possession of an illegal substance and appeared in Port Shepstone court on Monday.

The community is urged to report the illegal dealing of drugs to their nearest police station.
