TWO women, aged 29 and 30, and a 45-year-old man were arrested in Ramsgate on Friday for dealing in drugs.

The Ugu policing cluster drug task team, under the command of Warrant Officer Herman Pienaar, conducted an intelligence-driven operation.

“Two females and a man were arrested for dealing in heroin,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

A total of 13 capsules of heroin with a street value of R650 was confiscated and sent for forensic analysis.

“The three accused appeared in Ramsgate court on Monday morning and the case has been remanded for seven days for a formal bail application,” Wiid added.

“The community is urged to keep on reporting any information regarding drug trafficking to the police,” she said. - Supplied.
