THE World Karate Federation (WKF) Ugu region held a grading and awards ceremony at Port Shepstone Secondary in Albersville recently.

“This was a very successful year for us. Our students participated in the Karate Kwa Zulu-Natal elite trials and Karate South Africa Championships, the KwaZulu-Natal Development Trials and in the Karate South Africa Development Championships, winning medals in all four tournaments,” said Sensei Frank Moodley.

Amaarah Ibrahim was the most decorated student in 2016, earning her Provincial Colours and winning gold at the South Africa All Styles Championships. - Supplied.
