PORT Shepstone Junior Primary School held a fund-raising fun walk and run on Saturday morning.

The day started with a five-kilometre walk and run around the school, down to Suid-Natal High, then to Ziphakamise and back to the school.

A variety of activities were put on with food stalls, raffles and two grand prizes of a holiday of winners’ choice worth R6 500, sponsored in partnership with South Coast Fever.

Funds raised at the event will go towards building toilets for the school’s sports ground.

The event was sponsored by businesses who gave vouchers, gadgets, furniture and toys as prizes.

Winning the grand prizes were Gerhardt Steyn of Status Panel Beaters, the main sponsor, and Allison Edmonds.
