THE fifth and final leg of the inaugural South Coast MTB Series, the Wild Coast Sun MTB and Trail Run Challenge, will take place at the Wild Coast Sun on Saturday and Sunday.

Due to the great success of last year’s event, organisers have added extra value to this perfect active outdoor weekend away.

The race will again showcase the exquisite nature, wildlife and stunning views of the ocean, valleys and terrain along the border of the Eastern Cape.

Below are five reasons to enter this year’s event:

New route - fresh, innovative upgraded course designed by well known landscaper Ian Wilson (Giba Gorge) that incorporates a section on a private beach

Wild Waves Waterpark - free entry - normally charged at R150 per person.

Mountain bike lucky draw, valued at R6 500, up for grabs

Trail run – on Sunday includes 20km, 10km and five-kilometre distances

Accommodation specials - hotel packages include per person sharing – R435.50 (garden-facing room) or R465 (sea-facing room) and per single room – R871 (garden-facing room) or R930 (sea-facing room).

Pre-entries are, unfortunately, closed, but you can still enter on the day, however, note there are increased late-entry penalty fees.

Registration will be open from 6.30am each morning at the Wild Waves Waterpark. For further information, call Mark Thornton-Smith on 084 550 4138 or email mark@one-way.co.za
