THE Virtuous Women Ministry were treated to high tea on the lawns of St Mike’s Hotel recently.

It was a perfect day in celebration of the spring. The day started with games, a talk on grooming by Adelle Roger, an image consultant and teacher.

About 80 women gathered to listen to the life-changing story of Nadia Van der Merwe Kleynhans.

Van der Merwe Kleynhans spoke about being an ex-model, and how that stole the joy from her.

She spoke of having issues with self-esteem, relationship problems and being unhappy with life.

Although mixing with people in high places and having fame through modelling for FHM and Playboy, this left her lonely.

She shared how her spiritual journey with God liberated her and set her free and how her personal encounter with Jesus made a difference in her life.

She is no longer modelling, but is fulfilled with her job and is happily married.

The day ended with group question and answer sessions. - Supplied.
