A YOUNG surfer (13) from the Trafalgar Surf Club took two first positions and one second at the South Coast Grom Comp at St Michaels on Saturday.

The Mbambi High Grade 9 pupil, Lwando Dlezi, has been surfing for two years through the help of his sponsors from Blue Line Surfboards, Siyabonga and Nokwazi Cele.

Siyabonga said they saw a lot of potential in Lwando.

“He’s been a fast learning boy at the club. We also spoke to his coach and realised that Lwando’s future in surfing is bright and full of hope,” said Siyabonga, adding they look forward to sponsoring more promising young surfers.
