Blockbuster Winter Fair entertainment promised

THE star studded entertainment line up for the 2015 edition of the Child Welfare SA - KwaDukuza Edison Power Group Winter Fair is bound to have attendees satisfied.

More genres of music from local to international, Eastern to contemporary are on the programme roster.

Grassroots performers will take the stage to put on a show in the form of dance and unique sounds producing enigmatic creative experiences to ardent fans and newbies.

For the first time in the history of KwaDukuza’s annual marquee event, will the wider community get to experience an extra day.

The pre-show on Wednesday evening is set to whet the appetite in lieu of the spectacular acts to follow over the next four days.

The Glamorous Gran competition and local movie and hip hop star “Renegade” respectively will enthrall the masses on the history defining Wednesday night.

Comedian and performer Karou Charou will be the main event on Thursday night at the Country Club Ground at 8pm bringing a must see show.

The Pen’s Down Party matinee for pupils takes place on Friday.

Talented duo “Saint Gavin and SK” who performed at the Winter Fair in 2013 when they were with another music outfit, Planet Muzik, will perform on Friday. Their music is a mix of urban sounds mainly Hip Hop, Kwaito and Electro and they are currently promoting themselves through various platforms and believe showcasing their talents at the Winter Fair would be a great way to engage their current fans and welcome new fans.

The highlight of Friday night takes the form of super talented DJ Cndo (pronounced Cindo) whose charisma and hard work got her school talking after she was quickly becoming the pupils favourite disc jockey. She can now be found behind the decks at all school events due to popular demand.

In 2007 she was signed by DJ Tira, making her the first lady of Afrotainment and then she wasted little time when her debut album dropped in the same year titled: “The First Lady Of House Vol.1”. It received overwhelming reception from the music loving community.

The mood on Saturday heightens with Mount Edgecombe based Passions belting out tunes for the young and old. The band is made up of experienced musicians Robin Kaine (ex Vampires, Rebirth and Crescendos) with a voice that will captivate the audience.

You can expect beautiful ballads, dance, Eastern and rock.

Your Saturday night main event is international act Karan Juneja with the Vishnu Entertainers Showband commencing at 8pm.

Karan Juneja, who hails from Punjab in India, started his musical journey at the age of 10 where he went on to study and complete his Masters degree in Indian Classical Music. He participated in reality TV shows, such as Voice of Punjab, Saregamapa and Surkshetra.

Sunday sees Radio Hindvani do an outside broadcast from 12pm to 5pm and to add icing to the cake Hindvani DJs will collaborate with Nagara Touch on the main stage.

The Mr Winter contest is added to the Miss Winter Fair contest along with the Little Miss Winter and the fashion show.
