Enough of the hoaxes

2015-06-24 06:01

THE modern trend of creating crazy yet elaborate hoaxes must end immediately.

Some international newspapers actually swallowed the coming six days of darkness myth and even claimed “Nasa confirms this”, which it obviously did not.

The only thing that would cause six days of planetary darkness would be if the moon and Earth stopped orbiting in the exact position for the moon to eclipse the sun for six days, or the sun stops its nuclear fusion reaction, which is highly unlikely (it would get freezing cold quickly).

Even stranger would be how and why the moon and Earth orbits and sun’s fusion processes resumed after being idle for only six days.

This prank may seem like fun to some, but imagine what our President Jacob Zuma and his advisers would be spending to illuminate and reinforce Nkandla if they actually believed this would happen.

It would almost make the “fire pool” seem a waste, as without fire to illuminate Nkandla, how would our president be safe at home if the Eskom load shedding gets worse?
