STANGER Training Centre held their mini fete on Saturday, 30 May opposite Stanger SuperSpar.

The event showcased the activities of the school and included a jumble sale, exhibition of craft items, entertainment and sale of food items.

The event is one of the fund raising initiatives of the school. Unfortunately, due to limited financial and human resources, the Stanger Training Centre cannot, on its own, realise its dream of being able to adequately attend to the needs of pupil with special educational needs across the spectrum.

The mini fete helps the school raise much needed funds.

The entertainment items presented gave the appreciative shoppers something to rave about as they clapped their hands to the rhythm of popular hit songs.

Visitors to the craft stall were in awe at the wide range of craft items manufactured by the pupils. The food stall did roaring trade with items such as biryani, samoosas, chilli bites and other savories being sold out.

The community is encouraged to assist the school by contributing either in cash or kind. The school can be contacted on

032 552 5498 or email stangertrainingcentre @telkomsa.net.

Further events to look forward to is the school sports on Friday, 12 June and the concert in August
