FDKL Engineering Consultants (Pty) Ltd, a company formed in 2008, providing civil engineering consulting services, project management and material testing and analysis services using local and international expertise with offices in Johannesburg and Africa has now opened a civil engineering material testing laboratory in KwaDukuza.

Under the leadership of the principle member Dr Logan Gounder, FDKL is committed to providing its clients with the highest level of service possible, based on experience, integrity and innovation.
Gounder is a registered member with the Engineering Council South Africa and a member of the Arbitration Society South Africa.

The following consulting services are provided by FDKL Engineering Consulting:

-We provide assistance in feasibility studies, field investigations, planning and design and construction supervision for roads and other infrastructure.

-We provide assistance in project management.

-We carry out structural investigations and design.

-Water Engineering services as well as leak detection in concrete structures.

The following material testing services are provided by FDKL Materials Laboratory:

-Soil and gravel analysis testing

-Aggregate testing

-Concrete testing and design

-Asphalt and bitumen testing and design

-Geotechnical testing 

-Core drilling

-Layer works stabilisation test and design

-Density and moisture testing.
