MOTORIST Isaac Dlamini pleaded guilty of speeding near the N2 Mandeni area.
Dlamini was doing 162km in a 120km zone. He was fined R6000 or six months imprisonment of which R3000 or three months imprisonment is suspended for five years. In terms of section 35(3) his driver’s license is automatically suspended for six months.
In another incident near the same area Ntokoza Dludla of Umlazi was nabbed for exceeding the speed limit of 120km travelling at 174km.
He tendered a guilty plea and was fined R10 000 or 12 months imprisonment of which R5000 or six months imprisonment is suspended for five years. In terms of section 35 his driver’s license was also suspended for six months.

Zinhle Thandeka Ngema (21) pleaded guilty to theft of two roll-on deodorants at a store in Sundumbili. Her previous convictions of possession of drugs and dangerous weapons, two counts of theft and escaping or attempt to escape from lawful custody, was the reason she was sent to prison. She was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment of which 12 months is suspended for five years at Nyoni Court.

In another case, Muse Sishi (39) pleaded guilty to possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. He was found with and unlicensed 9mm Norinco Pistol. Counts one and two were taken together for sentencing of 14 years imprisonment of which seven years imprisonment is suspended for five years.

Sandile Ngema (30) was released recently from prison and is heading back after being convicted at Nyoni Court for fraud at a store Sundumbili for R850.
His guilty plea saw him being sentenced 24 months imprisonment of which 12 months is suspended for five years.
