KwaDukuza comedian Hallo Mtshali, who has made a name for himself on the standup comedy circuit, won the best Indigenous Comedian Award at the South African Traditional Music Awards (Satma) in the North West Province on September 30.

Mtshali, who comes from Madundube thanked the people of KwaDukuza for voting for him and the KwaDukuza Municipality for sponsoring him and all who played a role in him being successful.

“I would like to thank the KwaDukuza community for their support during my campaigning for votes and also KDM who made sure that  there was enough branding. I also want to thank the municipal officials, especially mayor Ricardo Mthembu, who were involved in making this possible.
“I am confident I will continue upping my game in the comedy industry and hope to have at least one show every month-end in my town,” said Mtshali.

Mtshali will arrive back in KwaDukuza to a heroes welcome as the achievement is the first of its kind in KwaDukuza.
