LOTARE members are reminded that the first council meeting of the year will be held on Wednesday, 25 January at the Stanger Manor Community Hall at 9.30am.

‘The meeting will be preceded by a talk by Dr Sachin Bab, an orthopaedic specialist.

Members are urged to be punctual. This will be followed by high tea.

An appeal is made to retired teachers to join the retirees' association which is celebrating its 20th anniversary in August.

Former members are urged to rejoin.

Teachers are reminded that Lotare­ is a non-racial, non-sexist and a non-denominational organisation and all are welcome.

Members who are keen on making a trip to India should contact the organiser, Prem Maharaj, as soon as possible. Seats are limited and it is on a first-come, first-served basis. The scheduled date of the trip is between 10 and 27 February. Members will receive the balance of the calendar for the year at the meeting.
