The annual sports derby contested by Uitenhage High School, John Walton, Gamble Street and McCarthy will take place on Saturday at the Rosedale sports fields.

Rugby, soccer and netball will be played from as early as 08:00.

On the rugby field, McCarthy is looking forward to continue its dominance over the other three schools.

However the host Uitenhage High School would like to show that their win against John Walton recently should not be underestimated and they will be going all out to win the coveted trophy.

Competition amongst the other codes will be tough, with John Walton being the favourites on the netball court and Gamble Street which is known for its talented soccer players.

A programme filled with entertainment and refreshments will be awaiting all attending the derby day. Admission will be R7 per person, R5 for scholars wearing uniform and R10 per car.
