Getting to know Rukeya Dollie of Mini Miracles Educare, a mother-entrepreneur-teacher-carer and all-round business woman from Uitenhage.

Q: Why did you decide to become a teacher?

A: I simply love children. Teaching is a challenging job with many unique frustrations, but the rewards of teaching are innumerable. Some of the many benefits include the incredible joy in seeing the difference we make especially in how the kids grow.

Q: Your favourite part of your work day?

A: Watching the growth in a child.

Q: Favourite movie to watch with your kids?

A: Annie

Q: Favourite children’s book?

A: Anything by Roald Dahl

Q: Best meal as a child?

A: Chinese

Q: What did you not like eating as a child?

A: Vegetables

A: To help shape children into successful members of a social world.
