The quick response of two police officials from KwaNobuhle resulted in the arresting of two armed men who on Sunday night tried to hijack a VW Polo in Mabandla Road.

“WO Jacobus Wyatt and Const. Wayne Menezes were busy with routine patrols when the call for assistance was received regarding two armed suspects attempting to hijack a vehicle in KwaNobuhle,” said police spokesperson WO Gerda Swart.

“ The members gave chase and apprehended the two men. They seized an unlicensed 9mm firearm and rounds from the magazine.

“The suspects, aged 32 and 56-years-old were arrested on charges ranging from attempted hijacking to the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.”
