Clockworx at 31 Dunn Road is a first-of-its-kind centre in Uitenhage offering the community services they need, assisting doctors with services for which they don’t have time and running a Sick Bay Kids Care Centre.

It is run by a community of like-minded people who work together towards a common goal, affordable healthcare at primary level. It is not a medical aid and is complementary to the regular medical practitioners and not competition for them.

Advanced Wound Care andamp; Home Nursing:

Sister Sonia Ainslie has extensive experience in all aspects of wound care. She is up to date with all the new developments in wound care and is experienced in providing the most cost effective treatment.

She can be approached for home nursing options and advice on how an early discharge can be achieved from hospital for therapy at home. A lot of patients are actually well enough to be at home, but remain in hospital because of intravenous therapy or wounds that need to be dressed. Her services include: wound care, home nursing, wellness screening, colostomy care, blood pressure, diabetes care, glucose tests. Ainslie is assisted by Louisa, who is the general assistant at the centre.

)Operating hours: Mondays - Fridays 08:00-17:00. Enquiries: Sonia Ainslie 082 457 8295.

Sick Bay Kids Care Centre:

This centre spells “instant relief” for working parents with a sick child. Managed and enrolled by Staff Nurse Carin Landman, who has many years of pediatric and neonatal ICU experience, the centre cares for children with moderate childhood illnesses and who are too ill to attend a regular daycare or school and too well to be hospitalised. It is a medical baby/child-sitting service and not a hospital or a daycare.

Set protocols of observation will be followed, medication administered as directed by either the doctor or the mother, nebulizations will also be given when necessary. The doors will be protected by access control and the premises fully comply with the fire department’s regulations. Sister Marcelle Robertson, a neonatal ICU Sister will supervise Sick Bay Kids and focus on immunizations.

)Operating hours: Mondays to Fridays 07:00-18:00. Enquiries: Staff Nurse Carin Landman 041 922 0534.

Ndinegama will serve at your purpose:

This project is to establish an income for members who are mostly mothers of severely disabled children.

It is about generating an income for the registered NPO (2015/002234/24). All the mothers of severely disabled children have been evaluated at the CP Clinic at Uitenhage Provincial Hospital and they will belong to this NPO.

The funds raised will be used for projects which will benefit this organisation on a long term basis. )Enquiries: Nondyebo Mgxashe 041 922 0534
