Carnival hits the street end of November

2016-11-10 06:00

The festive season is upon us and this means it is time for the annual Uitenhage Street Carnival, which will be held on 25th and 26th November.

Rotarians from the Uitenhage Rotary Club are the organisers of the carnival and there will once again be various artists performing as well as over 150 stalls.

To be granted the opportunity of trading at the carnival, the deadline for stall registration is Monday, November 14th.

There will once again be plenty to do for the kids including a playland, train rides, face painting, paintball and various other activities. Life-sized cartoon characters, as well as a magician, will roam the street.

“As usual the emphasis will be on providing a platform for local artists to perform.

“ This will culminate in the switching on of the Christmas lights on Saturday evening,” said Rotarian Terry Ranger, one of the organisers.
