Clean water: our most precious resource

An open dialogue on water resources in the Nelson Mandela Metro, organised by the Hope Spot initiative and WESSA will be held on Wednesday, February 22nd in the Auditorium of the City Hall from 17:30 to 19:00.

Councillor Annette Lovemore, the Mayoral Committee member responsible for Infrastructure and Engineering, will share the NMBM’s actions and plans to meet the challenges of the drought and critical water shortage as well as infrastructure breakdowns. Jenny Rump, from the Zwartkops Conservancy, will provide a brief case study of the valuable lessons learnt in managing the pollution which has been entering the Swartkops River via the Motherwell Canal. Attendance is free of charge. There will be plenty of time to ask questions.
