A platform for local and upcoming comedians, poets and soul musicians, Comedy and Soul Sessions, is being hosted at the Dockside at the Port Elizabeth Harbour every Wednesday.

“This is to showcase and hone their skills,” said Nceba Mqolomba from Radio Ya Bantu, the hosts of the platform.

“The sessions are free, except for the last Wednesday of the month when we invite a national comedian to headline the event.”

Tats the special guest

Tats Nkonzo, a well established comedian who made his name by doing comedy accompanied with his guitar, will be the special guest on Wednesday, March 29th.

Nkonzo, originally from the Eastern Cape, was the host of SA’s Got Talent and he appeared on Late Night News together with Loyiso Gola.

The supporting comedy acts at the event include King Kotla, Cena, Showbizz and Ingcaphephe with musicians Zimsto eRoofini and Mo Mahashe.

  • Tickets are R100 and will be available at the door. The show starts at 18:00.
