First ‘Face of Uitenhage’ beauty contest in town

The first annual Face of Uitenhage beauty contest will be hosted at the Uitenhage Town Hall on May 1st and serves as a fund-raiser for Princess Diaries, a youth female life skills and awareness project.

The event is organised by Ring Leader Concepts and according to choreographer Adrian Wagner, among the many entrants, 15 aspiring models from Uitenhage have been selected as finalists of the project.

The judges for the evening includes 2015 Miss Port Elizabeth, Shannon Hutton, fashion model Viv Gardner, fashion consultant Rialco Rossouw and Ryan Blignaut, owner of Tattoo Junkie in Uitenhage.

The event which is sponsored by Legit, Fashion World, ZipCode and Tattoo Junkie will commence at 18:00. Tickets are R50 per person (which includes cheese and wine) and are available from Legit in Uitenhage Mall. The dress code is smart casual.
