Die ATKV Sonneblomtak van Despatch het dominee Alwyn Griebenow en sy vrou, Muntie Griebenow vereer met ‘n “Klop op die skouer” toekenning vir hul onbaatsugtige diens oor baie jare aan die gemeenskap.

“Hul bydrae in die gemeenskap is van onskatbare waarde en soveel leiers wat deur hulle gevorm is kan daarvan getuig,” het Anette Becker, voorsitter van die ATKV Sonneblomtak gesê.

Die spoggeleentheid is by die GFI kunsgallery in die Baai gehou.

Volgens Becker het hierdie twee senior burgers van Despatch ‘n ongelooflike impak op jeug gehad, veral ten opsigte van integriteit, leierskap en om goeie landsburgers te wees.

“Die Griebenow-egpaar het absoluut ouers se arms verleng om kinders te help om groter hoogtes te bereik.”

Hulle het ook ’n passie vir die bewaring van Afrikaner-geskiedenis en wy hul lewens grotendeels toe aan die Voortrekker-organisasie.

Al is die egpaar aftree-ouderdom, leef hul nogsteeds hul passie uit vir die jeug en sien kans vir die uitdagings in vandag se tye as predikantsegpaar.

  • Hulle is tydens die ATKV-funksie toege-sing deur Robyn Jacobs, die wenner van die ATKV se universiteits-sêrkompetisie.
