Help reduce crime by reporting illegal activities

Police officials in the Uitenhage Cluster have arrested more than 170 suspects, through high density operations that were conducted during the past week.

A total of 33 traffic fines were issued and fourteen (14) arrests were made for driving under the influence of liquor.

The suspects were arrested on charges relating to attempted murder, robbery, assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm, theft, possession of suspected stolen goods. Thirty-seven (37) persons were arrested and detained after illegal drugs were found in their possession and 46 fines were issued for other liquor related crimes.

The police appeal to the community to assist them in reducing crime by providing valuable information that will lead to the arrest of suspects.
