Jazz saxophonist Curtis Kettledas, who has shared the stage with international artists like George Benson, Hugh Masekela, Feya Faku and Gloria Bosman, will feature at a Christmas in November concert which will be held in Uitenhage.

Kettledas, a music lecturer at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, said the songs would mostly be from his Christmas album that he is currently recording.

His debut album, Hymns Volume 1, showcases his take on a collection of traditional hymns.

During the Christmas in November concert, Kettledas will be featuring artists accompanied by band members Wesley Keet on keyboard, drummer Bevin Mashaka and Grant Allison on bass guitar

Earlier in his career he travelled to Taiwan where he has spent six months as a member of an international band called Mirage Live Jazz Band, with members originated from Spain, France and Italy.

After returning to South Africa he has formed his own entertainment company called Adlib, for playing music at weddings, corporate events and functions.

The Christmas in November concert will be hosted at Elim Assembly of God on the 5th at 18:30.

Tickets are R150 which includes gourmet snacks during the break.
