Leo Club follows slogan of Lions in serving the youth

2017-09-07 06:01

A highly successful Lions Project 100 Deeds for 100 Needs was held when the Uitenhage Lions Club and their Leo Club combined to meet the Lion Clubs International challenge of serving the youth in need within the Uitenhage and Despatch communities.

With the support of the community and especially the determination and drive of Leo President Charnia Vlooh the youth in need as well as victims of the Knysna Fire Disaster benefited from the project.

Leo President Charnia and fellow Leo Lebugang Sitoto both of Riebeek College Girls’ High School visited primary schools Albertyn, Innes, Winterberg, Seagull, Jubilee Park and Dalrose where they handed-out winter blankets to those in need.

“The community can be assured that these youth members from the Leo Club are dedicated and follow in the slogan of the Lions namely ‘We Serve’”, said Lion President Hein de Vrey.
