Local baseballers off to ‘hit big’ at Nationals

The Mandela Bay Baseball seniors side took the road to Cape Town where they will be participating in the South African Baseball Union National Championships.

Action starts tomorrow and the final games will be played on Wednesday, March 30th at the Chukker Road Sports Complex in Kenilworth.

The local team is led by well-known former cricketer Nantie Hayward with Hennie Stander as the vice-captain. The team’s head coach is Terrence Gouws and they all are looking forward to the challenges competing against the rest of the country’s baseball teams.
