Moot court winners of to Constitutional Court

2016-09-29 06:00

The national moot court competition aims to create greater awareness in schools regarding the Constitution and the values that it embodies through active participation.

The team from V.M. Kwinana in Kwa- No-buhle, last week won the provincial moot court competition which was held at Mtha-tha. They will now represent the Eastern Cape on national level from 5-9 October in Pretoria. Participants have to argue their cases before judges in an actual court scena-rio. Annually, all secondary schools in South Africa are invited to enter a team of two learners. The best provincial teams will compete against each other and the final round will be hosted in the Constitutional Court on October 9th.

  • The aim of the competition is to encourage talented young people to consider pursuing a law career.
