A Party of Hope, where cupcakes were “exchanged” for a donation towards the Cupcakes of Hope cancer foundation was hosted in Uitenhage at Levyvale SuperSpar.

“Thank you to all, from the Cupcake Angels who voluntarily baked to everyone who supported this venture. You all helped to make this day a huge success,” said Deisre Cloete, the organiser of the Cupcakes of Hope event.

“We are thankful and pleased to announce that through selling the cupcakes we have raised an unbelievable total of R20 000!”

The Cupcake Angels also visited young patients at the Uitenhage Provincial Hospital as well as Netcare Cuyler Hospital to hand them each a cupcake.

The Party of Hope co-incided with a boerewors roll braai, as an additional way in assisting with the fundraising event.

“This was a first, but we will be back next year and hope to see all again at the cupcake table,” said Deisre.
