Riebeek College will once again host its fun junior hockey festival, held every year in the early phase of the hockey season, to size up the opposition and to create a love for the game.

It will be held on Saturday 6th May and a number of schools will visit Riebeek for an exciting morning of hockey. Gates open at 07:30 and the first match commences at 08:00.

A variety of food and beverages will be on sale, including a coffee bar for those chilly early mornings, and there will also be entertainment and fun for children.

There will be junior U.14 matches, U.11 hockey matches and mini hockey matches.

“The junior hockey festival is always such an exciting date on our school calendar as it always brings much enjoyment and such a vibrant atmosphere.

“We are looking forward to having all the visiting hockey sides joining us!” said Theresa Woods, Riebeek hockey coach of the mini hockey girls and member of the organising team.
