’n Groep besighede van die Baai het ingespring en as deel van hul dienslewering aan die gemeenskap het hulle opknappingswerk by Huis Najaar op Despatch aangebring.

Lekkende dakke is herstel, plafonne is ge-slaan, ’n braai is gebou, die eetkamer is oorgeverf, badkamers is met storte toegerus, nood-ligte is in gange aangebring vir wanneer die krag af is, rekenaars is opgegradeer, stoele gestoffeer, brandblussers is gediens en die binnehof pronk nou met muurkuns.

“Rofweg gereken is al hierdie opknappingswerk meer as R20 000 se werk. En dit is vrywilliglik gedoen vir ons inwoners se gerief. Baie, baie dankie aan almal, dit is ongelooflik. Die tehuis sou dit nooit uit sy eie rekening kon bekostig nie,” het Anna-Marie van Heerden, bestuurder van Huis Najaar gesê.

Die tehuis het tans 101 inwoners. En die projek is gekoördineer deur een van dié inwoners se dogters.

Huis Najaar bedank graag vir Debbie Frost wat die projek gekoördineer het en die volgende besighede: Tsebo Facilities Solutions, Tsebo Cleaning, CS Solutions, Allforms Constructions, Koen’s Locksmiths, Glanville Electrical, G-One-Fire, Metal Technics, Oudtshoorn Locksmiths, One Call Signs, Universal Power, East Cape Signs sowel as Tiffany Frost vir die muurkuns by die braai en binnehof.
