Valley Market offers something different

2016-12-15 06:02

The Valley Market team are excited to be hosting a Christmas Market with a difference on Saturday, 17th December.

The public can look forward to a wide variety of artisanal food stalls, entertainment from Charlie Finch and Michelle Olivier as well as lots of Christmas gift shopping opportunities.

“We have seen our market grow from strength to strength over the past year, specifically after our move to the Tramways Building,” said Elaine Watson from Love Story and The Valley Market.

“With each market, we see an increase in attendees, a larger variety of stalls and an improvement in the quality of the products sold. We are forever evolving!

“We thought we would offer the public something different from the usual Valley Market and therefore putting on a Christmas Market is going to meet all the needs the public may have this festive season.

All proceeds at the door go to Love Story’s community projects such as their feeding schemes and clothing distribution programs. Love Story will be handing out “Buckets of Blessing” on Boxing Day to over 250 homeless men, women and children and therefore would like to invite market goers to make a contribution this Christmas season by either paying for a bucket (R100) or bringing along with them canned food and non-perishables to the market on Saturday.

The Valley Market is from 09:00 to 14:00 at the Tramways this coming Saturday, 17th December. Entrance R10.
