2017-07-27 06:00

The Eskom Expo for Young Scientists Regional Final, which is sponsored by Eskom, Rhodes University and local businesses, will be taking place on August 5th at the Rhodes University in Grahamstown.

“This project aims to inspire and develop a deep understanding of young scientists to identify a problem, analyse information and find solutions and ways to communicate their findings,” says Scifest Africa Manager, Pumza Tshebe.

“This year fantastic prizes, including five scholarships for the first year of study in the fields of science at Rhodes University, trophies, medals and book prizes are up for grabs.”

The fair affords learners the opportunity to enter a project to exhibit their own scientific investigation which will see the best projects participating in the international science fair in Pretoria in early October, as well as the opportunity to represent South Africa at other international science fairs abroad.
