1 dead, 3 hurt in North West crash

Johannesburg - A man died and three people were seriously injured when their bakkie overturned on the N12 near Potchefstroom on Sunday afternoon, the North West department of public safety said.

At about 16:00 the driver of a bakkie with four passengers lost control of his vehicle, according to spokesperson Lesiba Moses Kgwele.

While the driver was only slightly injured, a male passenger in his 40s was declared dead at the scene.

Two women in their 30s and a 16-year-old girl were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
