1 dead, 4 survive N7 crash

Cape Town - One person died and four others were injured in an accident on the N7 outside Malmesbury near Cape Town on Saturday, Western Cape police said.

Captain John Waterhouse said the accident occurred when a truck, bakkie and taxi collided.

The N7 highway was closed to traffic but reopened shortly after the incident, Waterhouse said.

The injured, who were not seriously injured, were admitted to hospital and were reported to be in a stable condition.

It is not clear how the accident occurred.
