Cape Town - The Muizenberg fire that broke out over the weekend, leading to hundreds of people being evacuated, was brought under control on Thursday.

The fire, which spread to other parts of Cape Town's South Peninsula, had firefighters and emergency services battling for days to contain it. As firefighting efforts continue into the fifth day,residents are trickling back home after having been evacuated from their homes. The natural environment has also taken a huge knock.
