18 hurt as KZN taxi overturns

Pietermaritzburg - Eighteen people, including nine schoolchildren, were injured on Tuesday when their minibus taxi overturned in Edendale, Pietermaritzburg, paramedics said.

The accident was thought to have been caused by mechanical problems and occurred in the Azalia township at around 07:00, said ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks.

He said four people were seriously injured while the others, including the children, suffered minor injuries.

The injured were taken to the Edendale provincial hospital.

    no comment, this is a daily thing and seems the authorities can do a thing about it , gov needs to come up with a plan to regulate this industry
