Khayelitsha -  Two Chinese nationals, charged with the illegal possession of ivory worth about R800 000, appeared briefly in the Khayelitsha Periodical Court on Thursday.

Changsen Xiong and Xiaolin Xing were not asked to plead and the matter was postponed to March 30.

Attorney William Booth told the court he had received instructions to represent the two.

The court extended Xing's bail of R70 000, and directed that Xiong remain in custody.
