Johannesburg - Two men have been arrested for murdering a
tuck-shop owner in KwaMashu, north of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal police said on
Friday.
Police spokesperson Vincent Mdunge said the men, aged 19
and 29, were arrested by the Ntuzuma crime prevention unit on Friday.
He said two knifemen held up tuck-shop owner Thiniza
Cele, 47, and demanded cash at her home in M-section, KwaMashu, on 18 January.
"She was allegedly stabbed by the suspects and was
rushed to hospital for medical attention where she later died," Mdunge
said.
"An undisclosed amount of money, laptop, cellphone
and jewellery was taken during the robbery."
Investigators arrested one of the men in M-section, and
the other in Bester, north of Durban, where he was hiding, he said.
They would appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrate's Court on
