2 held for tik possession in Cape

Johannesburg - Two people were arrested for possession of tik with an estimated street value of R3 000, Western Cape police said on Saturday.
The arrests were made during a 12-hour raid, Captain Frederick Van Wyk said. A total of 10 people were arrested.
The operation focused on gangs, organised crime, crimes against women and children, and drug and alcohol abuse, he said.
Police seized one unlicensed firearm and 54 rounds of ammunition. The tik, dagga and mandrax confiscated had a street value of R7 610.
The suspects were due to appear in different courts in Cape Town on Monday.
