Johannesburg - A man and a woman were arrested on
Wednesday for allegedly running a bogus Further Education and Training College
in Tzaneen, Limpopo police said.
Police spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi said the
31-year-old man and the 34-year-old woman, both from Zimbabwe, were arrested
after students asked the department of higher education about the college's
legitimacy.
"The matter was referred to the Hawks for
investigation. It was revealed that the college was not registered with the
department of higher education."
The college had been using fake accreditation
certificates since opening in 2008.
The two were expected to appear soon in court.
