Kimberley - Two people were killed and two injured when a car rolled on the N12 outside Kimberley in the Northern Cape on Friday morning, paramedics said.

ER24 spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said paramedics arrived and found the car, with four adults inside, had rolled from the road and came to rest on its roof in the veld.

"It appears that the driver may have suddenly lost control for some reason, as no other vehicles had been involved in the accident," she said.

"A woman was found lying outside the vehicle and she had been ejected as the vehicle rolled. Initial assessments revealed that she had already succumbed to her severe injuries and had died at the scene."

Jackson said a man was found inside the car and had also died due to the nature of his injuries.

Two other men were treated on the scene and were taken to hospital for further medical treatment, she said.
