2 killed in KZN truck crash

2011-05-25 22:11
Johannesburg - A man and a woman were killed and three others injured when their construction truck overturned in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands on Wednesday, paramedics said.

The truck was found on its side on a district road about 25km outside Nottingham Road in the Fort Nottingham area, said ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks.

One person was critically injured and two others sustained serious injuries.

They had to be taken on the back of a bakkie to an ambulance waiting about 10km away because of the poor state of the road.

It was believed the truck may have had some sort of mechanical problem, causing the driver to lose control.
