2012-06-06 16:29

Johannesburg - Two people were injured during an armed robbery at a Midrand jewellery store on Wednesday, Gauteng police said.

"Two bystanders were injured during the incident and were rushed to a nearby hospital in a serious but stable condition," Lieutenant Colonel Tshisikhawe Ndou said.

Seven heavily armed men entered the store at around 10:00 and ordered staff to hand over the merchandise. The men fired their weapons as they left the store, wounding the bystanders.

Ndou said the value of the stolen goods was unknown and no suspects had been arrested.

    Yes, but which store?

I think mentioning the name would make the store a soft target for other criminals *My guess*

T.I.A. Rob the store, then on the way out start shooting. Why?

      gideon.joubert.10 - 2012-06-06 17:06

Because they are criminal scum with no respect for the lives or property of others, and even less respect for the law!

@Gideon...you've summarised it well. There is no other way of changing the mindsets of these animals expet by hanging them. The abolishment of the death penalty was well and suited for the times just after 1994 when we all wanted to stop the abuse of the death penalty, But now, society is under siege from criminals. What can stop us from re-introducing it? Are the laws immune from ammendments? Cant this issue be decided at a referendum? I'm no legal expert but something needs to be done.

I hope that if the cops find these guys with their firearms on them the cops fire warning shots into their chests and then string them up on the toll gantries.

A jewellery store in the Boulders. You are not safe anywhere even if the store has dozens of security guards patroling.
