27 to appear for crimes in Jhb

Johannesburg - Twenty-seven people were expected to appear in the Alberton and Germiston Magistrate's Courts on Tuesday following a 24-hour anti-crime operation in Katlehong, Johannesburg police said.
Captain Mega Ndobe said the 27 were arrested in Katlehong between 06:00 on Monday and Tuesday morning.
"They were arrested for crimes like assault, attempted rape, hijacking, fraud, armed robbery, drunk driving, drinking in public and on suspicion of being illegal immigrants."
