3 arrested for E Cape house robbery

Johannesburg - Three men have been arrested in Mdantsane for house robbery, Eastern Cape police said on Friday.

Lieutenant Colonel Nkosikho Mzuku said police caught the men, aged between 16 and 25, as they were fleeing the house they had just robbed on Thursday.

"Police reacted swiftly and they managed to catch three out of the five men in the same street as the house."

Stolen goods worth an estimated R10 000 were recovered.

The men were expected to appear in the Mdantsane Magistrate's Court on Monday on charges of house robbery and possession of stolen goods.
