3 held in R1m cocaine bust

Cape Town - Three people were arrested in connection with a cocaine haul worth R1m which was smuggled through Cape Town International Airport, Cape police said on Tuesday.

Captain Elliot Sinyangana said a 52-year-old Gauteng woman was coming off a flight from the USA on Monday, when the drugs were found in her luggage.

"After further investigations we were led to Milnerton where we arrested two Nigerian nationals," said Sinyangana.

He said more arrests were expected.

The three would appear in Bellville magistrate's court on Wednesday.
