3 in court for Kruger poaching
Phalaborwa - The case against three men accused of rhino poaching in the Kruger National Park was postponed in the Phalaborwa Magistrate's Court on Monday, Limpopo police said.
Sergeant Malesela Makgopa said Jhuwawa Baloyi, 52, David Baloyi, 64, and 28-year-old Abhino Baloyi would be detained until their formal bail application in the same court on Tuesday.
It was not immediately clear whether they were related.
The three, from Mozambique, were arrested last month in the game reserve after they were found in possession of a rhino horn.
Police also arrested a Chinese man who was allegedly going to pick up the horn, in a trap they had set up.
He was released soon afterwards on R80 000 bail.
Jhuwawa Baloyi was out on bail for 11 other rhino poaching cases in Mbombela while David Baloyi was out on bail for one pending poaching case, Makgopa said.
