Cape Town - Three men will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court in connection with the murder of policewoman Xoliswa Banga, according to a report on Tuesday.

The Cape Times newspaper reported that the men, all aged 20, were arrested in Khayelitsha along with a 17-year-old boy on Monday.

The minor made a brief appearance in court the same day and was returned to a place of safety, with his case postponed to Thursday.

The men will appear on Wednesday.

Banga, 36, was shot dead while driving a police vehicle in Philippi East on Friday evening.

She had gone to collect a parcel from her home in Khayelitsha and was shot twice through the windscreen. She was admitted to hospital and died from her wounds.
